PICCOLA NAMED GUARDIAN OF SMALL BUSINESS

HARRISBURG – Senator Jeffrey Piccola (R-15) has been named as a "Guardian of Small Business" by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for his outstanding voting record on behalf of Pennsylvania's small business owners in the 2007-08 legislative session of the General Assembly.

"Senator Piccola has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to small business in Pennsylvania. His 100 percent voting record is an outstanding achievement to the men and women who are the backbone of our economy," said Kevin Shivers, NFIB State Director.

Votes tracked this session are among the highest priorities in NFIB's small business agenda; they include votes cast by Piccola for pro-small business legislation to: make health insurance more affordable; reduce costly junk lawsuits; protect the rights of private property owners; and reduce the tax burden on small business owners and manufacturers.
