  • Schools & MRSA -- Education and Healthcare Communities Receive MRSA Advisory
    The education and healthcare communities are the target of an advisory pertaining to Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH). Health Advisory #107 dated October 19, 2007 examines both hospital- and community-acquired MRSA.   (10/25/07)

  • Blueprint for School Safety Planning Released
    School administrators, teachers, parents, law enforcement and community groups are being armed with the tools to create an up-to-date school safety plan. The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General is making available a new statewide school safety CD to facilitate preparedness in the event of external or internal threats.   (10/04/07)

  • Ag Curriculum Designed for Students in Preschool to High School
    Educators planning to teach agriculture to students are getting a helping hand from the PA Department of Agriculture and Marketplace for the Mind. Teaching tools are available to facilitate instruction through curriculum aligned with Pennsylvania’s “science & technology” and “environment & ecology” teaching standards, according to the Departments of Agriculture and Education.   (08/27/07)
